Ourlet is a small studio in Hackney making clothes for women and men. We design one collection at a time and stop when the cloth runs out.
Cut by hand
Every piece is cut and sewn in family workshops in Porto and Prato that we visit each season.
Honest cloth
Wool, linen, cotton and vegetable-tanned leather from mills in Italy and Portugal.
Small runs
Forty to two hundred pieces a style. When a run sells out, it stays sold out.
From cloth to rail
We buy cloth by the roll and cut it in Porto and Prato, a few days after it arrives. Each run is sewn by the same two workshops, then pressed, checked and folded in Hackney.
